Reader’s Question:
I always tell myself that I am not drunk after having a few drinks and drive the group home every time we go out. But I’m afraid that one day, I’ll just be caught and charged with DUI here in Norman, Oklahoma. How could I avoid a DUI arrest after a night out?

It’s easy to say that you’re not drunk and you can drive yourself and your group home after having a good time and consuming some alcoholic drinks. But it would help a lot if you plan ahead and be ready so that no one would ever be in an accident, be caught drunk driving and be charged with DUI. The penalties if you are charged with DUI in Norman, Oklahoma can be severe. Your license can be taken away, it would be embarrassing, you have to pay fines, you may be imprisoned, so it would be great to avoid the whole conflict altogether by having a designated driver.
It could be as easy as pie to have a designated driver. You always have to be aware if you are going to socialize with alcoholic beverages. You also have to plan ahead of time as to who will be the designated driver. You can also take turns being the designated driver. Do not let someone you know who may consider driving drunk. Preventing a DUI arrest before it happens is the wisest thing to do.
